Research projects are co-led by teams:
Dr. Alexandra Perkinson, PhD, BCBA-D, and Jamie Turner, MBA.
We examine the factors that cause employees to initially enter a Social Services field. A key requirement is that someone works in the field for at least 12 months to be considered. Work can be either part time or full time as long as the work is compensated and consistent employment can be demonstrated over at least a 12-month period.
We're researching the relationship between organizational policies and staff attrition. A key factor in our research is the enforcement of policies, given how flexible many social services agencies are with enforcement.
Many in-demand Clinical professionals have been observed to move frequently between employers in recent years. We believe this to be caused by both a demand for services that far exceeds staffing supply, as well as dissatisfaction with an employer's approach to Clinical quality. We examine the disparity between staff demand and supply, as well as day-to-day Clinical autonomy and oversight that might contribute to frequent changes in employers and the impact these behaviors have on Clinical quality.
